Track 3: The Industry
The retail industry is continually evolving as companies push traditional business boundaries and technologies emerge and converge. As product presentation has moved on from the flat or zoomable image to rich media, video or augmented reality, so too have channels evolved into the anytime, anywhere of mobile commerce. This stream looks at how brand proposition, market entry strategy, delivery mechanism and the product itself shape the organisation and system requirements.

Delegates will gain insight into:
  • The latest mobile developments: NFC, marketing and mobile as the glue to cross-channel success;

  • Mobile commerce today – a retailer's experiences;

  • The latest innovations in product presentation;

  • The use of granular product data off-site to engage customers and increase sales;

  • Evolution of a multichannel industry – Building mature multichannel models;

  • Why a new breed of retailers is shaking up the industry, product development and customer expectations.
